ANTSHE Awards Program

ANTSHE takes great pride in recognizing both individual and organizational achievements in higher education. The ANTSHE Awards Program recognizes members and nonmembers for excellence in their support of nontraditional students through college/university adult learner programs, administrative support, student organizations, and/or for any other supportive role. ANTSHE awards are presented annually for contributions made in support of nontraditional students.

The President's Award is our highest recognition and is awarded to exemplary leaders who has made significant contributions to their local nontraditional student organization and serves as an inspiration to other ANTSHE members. Do you know someone you'd like to see honored with the President's Award?

The Brick Award was established in 2005 is an award that recognizes and honors those students or professional members who work “behind the scenes” to assist their respective organizations and “goes above and beyond” to support non-traditional students. This Brick Award is for someone who is the “foundation” for their group.

Nontrad Military Service Award

The ANTSHE "Nontrad Military Service Award (formerly the “National Treasure Award” ) is presented to a nontraditional student who has served or is currently serving in a branch of the Armed Forces. The nontraditional military student must be enrolled in an accredited college/university. This award recognizes a student who demonstrates the drive and perseverance to pursue a degree while serving in one or more branches of the military.

The Student Recognition Award is presented to the most active and vibrant student organization on campus throughout the year and especially during annual Non-Traditional Student Week in November. The size of the student organization is not important, it is the energy and drive to help the non-traditional student to succeed that is rewarded.

The Award for "Outstanding Foundation & Leadership for Nontrads" (formerly the Nontrad Student-Friendly Award)

ANTSHE is proud to announce a new award that will be presented beginning this year. The award for "Outstanding Foundation & Leadership for Nontrads", is the former "Nontrad Student-Friendly Award." This award is presented to a college or university adult learner program for their outstanding support for nontraditional students. The winner of this award provides the foundation and leadership needed for nontrad success, through resources, programs, tools, motivation, support, and a conducive learning environment that encourages learning and educational success. This award aligns with ANTSHE's mission to provide motivation and support not only to nontraditional students but also the colleges/universities, and the people who support them in various ways.
