Congratulations Marsha Goolesby-Barker and The Student Support Center/Student Affairs Division at Chattanooga State Community College! 2020 Winner of the Award for "Outstanding Foundation & Leadership for Nontrads"
The ANTSHE Board of Directors, after careful review of nominations submitted from November 2019-February 15, 2020, has selected Marsha Goolesby-Barker and The Student Support Center/Student Affairs Division at Chattanooga State Community College for this award because of their commitment and obvious devotion to non-traditional student success. Their work with Tennessee Reconnect, special events such as the Adult Student Club Picnic, Adult Student Recognition Day, Spire Honor Society, and personal dedication to helping their adult students to succeed in their endeavors, as well as their work and commitment to recognize adult students for their accomplishments, is appreciated and a true inspiration for other colleges/universities across the country. The Student Support Center at Chattanooga State Community College provides adult students with the resources and support they need to aide in their degree success. The board would also like to show appreciation to Ms. Goolesby-Barker, for her steadfast determination and dedication to helping non-traditional students and for going above and beyond to help them reach their educational goals. Congratulations and Thank you again for your support of non-traditional students and of ANTSHE! |
Chattanooga State Community College "Connects" with Adult Students
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Ms. Goolesby-Barker is staying connected with their adult students by offering “Adult Students Group Chat” Sessions, TN Reconnect Info Sessions, and TN Reconnect Updates via WebEx.
